Hello, there’s a running joke that my mother rides horses and I ride yoga mats. I do love all things yoga and when I can marry the two: the energy and spirit of the farm to the beauty of yoga: I DO!
I frequent monthly yoga sessions at Old Bust Head Brewing Company at Vint Hill Farms. I typically go by myself as a (re)treat. The last class I went to was hosted by Jaimis; a very pretty yogi in what I call mermaid leggings. The music was great; tribal and dance worthy. When we like something don’t we want more of it?
I am intrigued by nature and the spirituality of Native American Indian Moons. June is the Strawberry moon. I pitched to Jaimis of Drop Sound and Robin of Franny’s Pharmacy Nova a collaboration and here ya go friends: YOUR INVITATION TO A SILENT DISCO
https://www.jaimisyoga.com/events-1/full-moon-yoga-silent-disco-winfall-farm
This event will be in a back hay field. I suggest bringing a throw rug and putting your yoga mat on that. Create your own little disco space. I look forward to the party…. see you there. Spread the word!
Tree Tapping Season
Our tree tapping season runs January through March. Sap collection is dependent on Mother Nature. We look forward to showing you how to identify a tappable tree, tap it, and how to boil the sap to make syrup. The season is short so book now by calling or texting Alex: (804) 833-8303

Spring on the Farm
Spring is from March 21 to June 21. This year we’ve had a few winter-like weather days sprinkled into our spring season. Here at Winfall we are fertilizing fields to prepare for making hay, reinforcing fencing to keep in the livestock and preparing for Warrenton Hunt’s Spring Hunter Pace Horse Event. We are foraging for mushrooms (morels), clearing trails and trying to keep up with Mother Nature creating more work on the trails with down trees and natural debris. We are planning our summer gardens, redesigning the garden beds and starting seeds. We look forward to seeing you at the farm.

Rest In Peace Dad
Winfall Farm would not be what it is today without my mother Hally and father Bill. My dad Bill, lead farmer, passed away on 1/6/2022. He fought and lost a battle with ALS. My dad loved giving kids tractor rides, hay rides, building things with anyone that had a vision, and was the kindest soul on Earth. He was the guy that made sure everyone was happy. He showed his love by providing. He was the guy that engineered something if it broke or simply invented something to make a job easier. He read every manual. I repeat he was the guy that read the manuals… cover to cover. He built my house. He stayed up late to help with school projects, mind and my daughters. He was the one I went to when I needed help. He got my emergency calls when I was lost on a highway. A real highway and the highway of life. He made sure my compass pointed north. Dad you are my forever hero. May this farm exude your spirit and love.
Rest In Peace Dad.
